Hello good people

Let's just start this email off with the good stuff.

Yesterday we were at church and we were getting ready to sit down.
Every week we have asked Rick to come to church and he always comes up
with excuses. We weren't expecting him to come and all of a sudden I
hear "hey is there an empty seat by you?" I turned around and it was
Rick. GUYS HE CAME TO CHURCH AHH I can't even express how happy I was.
My eyes were full of happy tears. I cry when I'm sad I cry when I'm
happy haha

I have never prayed harder for anyone in my life and then to be
sitting next to him at church and hearing him sing the hymns. Oh my
heart was full it was more than full it was overfilling. What a tender
mercy for him to come to church. DEFINITELY THE BEST DAY EVER.

This week is transfers. I learned that I am staying in Fairfield but I
am training a brand new missionary from the MTC. She's gonna be my
baby haha I am so excited but a little nervous. I am still a baby out
on my mission. I'm feeling inadequate about being a trainer so earlier
in my mission, but I have to remember that the Lord qualifies who he
calls. I am so excited to have the BEST transfer ever and train my
missionary to be a better missionary than me. I can't wait to meet her
and introduce her to the best year and a half of her life.

I have been taking biotin and my hair is growing peeps! It's the best
thing ever and then I've been going natural all day every day. Mom--
you would be so impressed. I'll add a picture of the length!

Everytime we go see Rick he takes a Safeway soup bowl and goes around
town to find flowers. He makes flower arrangements for us haha and
leaves them in the middle of the table we meet at haha it is so
awesome. Because it was sister ferns last day he went a little over
board and filled the table with flower arrangements hahaha I'll add a
picture of it hahaha

It was the last district meeting and for the first half of the meeting
it was awesome, we talked about finding loving and doing good as
missionaries. For the second half the elders had fun games for us to
play. We go into a room and it's full of balloons haha probably over
100 balloons were filled haha they had us eat donuts off of a string
and our two elderly missionaries joined in on the fun. It was the most
entertaining thing I have ever watched hahaha

Hermana Bennett deserves another paragraph of my email because she's
the best. She has been my saving grace and I feel so grateful she is
my zone.

This last 6 weeks has been trying to say the least but I have grown
so much. I have really struggled but it has been well worth it. God
knew before my mission that I had no patience hahaha but oh boy has
this transfer helped me gain more patience then I ever thought I
could. I am so excited to WORK HARD this next transfer and see
miracles.

I'll attach lots of pictures because I got lots this week

I love you guys so much.

Every week I am so grateful I made the decision to serve a mission.
It's truly a miracle that my call was sent in and came without my
knowledge. God knew I needed a little push and shove. Amen for
miracles

This church is true. Being a missionary just gets better and even when
it's hard it's good.

Funny how that works out

Love always
Sister Thurgood
