Hola mis personas

I'm in a suburb of Fairfield called Cordelia. IT IS SO WINDY. It's
ALWAYS windy haha We live in a small flat above someone's garage. It
is very small hahaha but I like it it's cozy well as cozy as cozy can
be. Every since I've been out on my mission I'm a clean freak I have
Mandees (my roommates) OCD now haha

My new companions name is Sister Fernandez. She's really nice and
loves to talk. So I'm getting good at listening. She's very kind and
thoughtful. She is from Michigan

I don't have a whole lot to say. Unfortunately this was not my week. I
know no bueno. New companion, new area, new zone, new district. This
week was a hard week. I don't think I have ever felt so discouraged or
disappointed. I was on the verge of tears all week. At times I just
really wanted to be home.  The work here is different and I'm trying
to adjust to the speed me and sister Waite went at to the speed here
in Cordelia 2nd. Gosh I just love you guys so much that sometimes my
heart breaks because I miss you guys. I just want to talk to you all.

I finally decided to open up to my companion and told her that I was
feeling not so hot and that I wanted to ask the district leaders for a
blessing. And oh my am I grateful for the priesthood.  Elder Hardy and
Elder Sombkey gave me a blessing and elder Hardy repeated again and
again "I bless you that you will feel Heavenly Fathers love for you at
this time." I can't describe the feeling of love that filled me. I
couldn't help but have the tears I had been holding in all week run
down my face.

I can do this. As I got that blessing it reminded me of a man in West
sac. He was the refugee from Pakistan. My head went to the image of us
sitting on his couch and him closing his eyes and lifting his hands up
saying "I weak but Jesus make me strong".

I was reading in the Bible and I was in John 15. I think some of the
most powerful statements are in that chapter. Jesus says "abide In
me". The verb for abide in Spanish is permanecer. Which is similar
sounding to the English world permanent. So when he says abide in me,
he is saying stay with me, stay with me forever, stay with me
permanently. I love that. Later in that verse Jesus says "without me
ye can do nothing" that is gods truth. isn't that so comforting.

because we can't do anything without him, we can do everything with him

I can do this. I can do hard things

Godspeed
